snow in baton rouge

for the first time since i've lived here, and from what i'm told, the last 18 or so years, there is snow on the ground in baton rouge. 2 inches of snow. insignificant for everywhere else in the country, i know, but for the deep swamp south, it may as well be 22 feet. everything is shut down. personally, i don't care at all, but my kid thinks it's cool because this is only the second time she's seen snow, and she can't really remember the first.
